Our resident designer, Ted, has finally found his workshop, and he has just been awarded his Assemblers Licence. (Honorary. Issued by the Department of Making Things Up. Framed above the bench.) It’s in a dusty corner of the archive that nobody had opened in years, and he has carved out quite the setup: a bench, a tape measure that’s never once been out of reach, and a row of very serious-looking safety glasses he insists on wearing even when nothing is cutting.
Every so often he gets the itch. He pops out of the workshop, wanders off to the assembly instructions page, and comes back a little while later, all proud, in his work gear, straight from “the show”. He’s been practising the walkthrough for many of the sizes we sell, and he’ll tell you the 900mm two-drawer base is his favourite. (It’s the one he’s built the most times. We’re not saying how many.)

Behind the jokes, there’s real technology. Every walkthrough is built from the same assembly manuals our customers get, matched to the size you’re looking at. Ted’s show is the fun way in, but the instructions underneath are the real thing.
If you’re thinking of having a go yourself, click “Watch Ted build it” above the manuals on any product page that has a walkthrough. Ted will walk you through it step by step, and you can pause, step forward or back, or close the show at any moment.
